In the tradition of Lady Whistledown, “This author proclaims it is a must watch!”
After the family, friends, food and gifts, I hope you caught the Premier of Bridgerton. While our gathering was small, it in no way lacked fun, love or decadent taste, making Bridgerton the perfect ending to a wonderful day.
Netflix attention to detail in costumes, cast and scenery are a fantastic interpretation of author Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton story. While period peices like Outlander, Game of Thrones, Last Kingdom, among others have given period dramas an invigorating new life.
Bridgerton looks to be a cinematic feast for the eyes. With exquisite gowns, ballrooms and unforgettable characters, you’ll have to be patient for the next weeks episode. If you missed it feel free to binge watch on Netflix. For those who want more to explore or simply cannot wait till next episode get the book today.
I love both the real book, (something about the feel of real pages between your fingers), I also utilize a kindle. I have it on tablet, cellphone and my laptop, so no matter where I am or what is with me I can literally pick up my book exactly where I left off.
As I’ve read the entire series multiple times, I must confess I am waiting patiently for Anthony’s story. I truly hope they do justice to the scenes and banter that makes readers laugh out loud and get really strange looks when reading on mass transit.
I usually am not one to spend on television entertainment but, shows like Outlander, Last Kingdom, Game of Thrones, and now Bridgerton have changed that. My Prime subscription was my first indulgence. Then Starz for Outlander, and I now have them on dvd too.
So I’m already hinting that these would make an awesome birthday present in October. If I can wait that long…chances are I’ll have to get them as soon as they are released.
