7.  Splendor of Nature

Always around us the change of season can be observed in the beauty of nature, even in the city.  Cool wind across your face lifts the strands of hair either left down or that have escaped your style of the day gives the familiar scents of leaves  and spice.  A crisp breeze reminds of the cooler winds to come.  Tree’s shed changing colors leaves and slowly reveal their bare limbs.  Pumpkin Spice everything invades all aspects of your favorite coffee destination.  As we spend ha-ha our free time we gained take a few minutes for yourself.  No technology, no family obligations just some “me” time to appreciate beauty in the changes that take place all around.  Not only do you get to enjoy the view but, those minutes you take to let the world drain away will be realized as you have the energy and love needed to make your crazy schedule run smoothly.  Send your favorite place pictures in email or post to social media media it can just be the view from your window.

6.  Family Memories

I know it seems like a given but whose life took some really unexpected turn 3 years ago I urge people to say “I love you” and “I appreciate you” far more often than you think others need to hear it.  Don’t hold back letting those close to you know.  I always laughed that off, however as I can attest tomorrow is not a given.  3 years ago I was moving and planning for a future I almost lost.  I can say honestly looking back my only regrets would be some of the things I didn’t say to the people important to me.  I have since rectified that to my satisfaction.  Three years ago I suffered an aneurysm that almost killed me.  I was very lucky to escape with only minimal physical damage.  As one has come so close to not coming back Live!!  Laugh!!  Love!! Do not leave things unsaid for the chance to do so can be gone in an instant. Good, bad, angry, sad,  or happy tell them.  Make even the simple things memories that last fondly in the hearts and mind if those closest to us.  Everyday we wake we get to make good or bad memories the choice is yours.  Try little notes on a mirror, in their lunch, even in a pocket.  Great way to bring a smile to their face in the middle of the day.

5.  Enjoying my favorite recipe’s at the end of a long chilly and here often wet day.

To me there is nothing better than a meal that warms you inside like your favorite sweater keeps the outside warm.  For warm feelings of home try a pinch of cinnamon in your hot cocoa.  The warm chocolate stimulates the pleasure center in our brains while the scent of cinnamon is often tied to childhood memories of warmth and love.  For dinner some night try the rich velvety texture of cauliflower soup one of my favorites after seeing on Cooks Country paired with warm Apple cider or a favorite Tea. I love the convenience of Alpine brand Spiced Cider and Ghirardelli cocoa.  The recipe below can be made ahead but I recommend the garnish be fresh.  Enjoy this soothing Soup with your favorite cocoa, cider, or your favorite herbal tea. Several companies offers several variety boxes to find your favorite.
